These Terms of Service (these "Terms") govern your access to and use of the English News Easy platform (the "Service") provided by Juhyeon Kim ("we", "us", or "operator"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Service Introduction
English News Easy is an AI-powered English learning platform designed to help users read, listen, translate, practice speaking, and solve vocabulary quizzes based on daily news articles.
2. Accounts and Registration
- Users can create an account and log in using their email address or via third-party authentication services (such as Google or Apple).
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.
3. Subscriptions and Payments (App Store Guidelines Compliant)
- Subscription Period & Billing: Premium memberships are available on a recurring subscription basis (weekly, monthly, or annually). Payment will be charged to your chosen payment method upon confirmation of purchase.
- Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- Cancellation: You can manage or cancel your auto-renewal subscription at any time through your account settings (e.g., Apple App Store settings ➡️ User Apple ID ➡️ Subscriptions).
- Refund Policy: All billing, invoicing, and refund transactions are handled exclusively by the app store platforms (e.g., Apple App Store). Refund requests must be submitted to the respective platform according to their policies.
4. Limitation of Liability for AI-Generated Content
- No Accuracy Guarantee: Features such as AI translations, pronunciation scores, and sentence corrections are generated using machine learning models. We do not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or error-free nature of any AI-generated outputs.
- User Responsibility to Review: AI corrections and suggested sentences are intended solely for educational reference. Users must independently review and verify the outputs before relying on them. We are not liable for any misunderstandings or damages arising from the use of AI-generated content.
- Feature Availability: We reserve the right to modify, restrict, or suspend AI-powered features at any time to ensure system integrity or address technical issues.
5. Account Termination
- Users may terminate their account at any time using the 'Delete Account' button inside the application.
- Upon account termination, all user records, study histories, bookmarked articles, and other stored data will be immediately and permanently deleted, and cannot be recovered.
6. Modifications and Service Discontinuation
- We reserve the right to modify, update, enhance, or discontinue parts or all of the Service at any time for operational or technical reasons.
- In the event of a material change to the Service, we will provide reasonable advance notice through the application or our website.
